چکیده
High-sensitivity interferometers are one of the basic tools for precision measurement, and their sensitivity is limited by shot noise limit (SNL), which determined vacuum fluctuations probe field. The quantum interferometer with novel structures can break SNL measure weak signals, such as direct observation gravity wave signal. Combining classical optical parametric amplifier (OPA) enhance signal; meanwhile, kept at level, so that nonlinear beyond be achieved. By analyzing in detail influence system parameters on metrology, including intensity fields phase sensing, gain factor OPA, losses inside outside interferometers, application conditions high-sensitivity obtained. Quantum interferometer-based OPAs provide references practical development precise measurement.

Quantum-enhanced multiparameter estimation in multiarm interferometers
Quantum metrology is the state-of-the-art measurement technology. It uses quantum resources to enhance the sensitivity of phase estimation over that achievable by classical physics. While single parameter estimation theory has been widely investigated, much less is known about the simultaneous estimation of multiple phases, which finds key applications in imaging and sensing. In this manuscript...

To prove Eq. (S1) we recall that the square root of the positive definite Fisher matrix is given by the matrix with the same (orthonormal) eigenvectors as F and the square root of its eigenvalues. We indicate as fi > 0 and vi (with v> i vj = δi,j) the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of F, respectively (Fvi = fivi). Notice that F is real and symmetric and thus diagonalize. In addition, F is positiv...

We introduce on-chip interferometers in which the spatial output interference pattern is observed along a detection plane. We show that by using photonic crystals with strong dispersive properties in these devices, highly sensitive interferometers can be realized. We discuss potentials of these interferometers in spectroscopy and sensing applications using their strong wavelength sensitivity an...

We report on a hitherto unexplored application of squeezed light: for quantum-enhancement of mechanical transduction sensitivity in microcavity optomechanics. Using a toroidal silica microcavity, we experimentally demonstrate measurement of the transduced phase modulation signal in the frequency range 4-5.8 MHz with a sensitivity -0.72(±0.01) dB below the shot noise level. This is achieved for ...

In the Ekert cryptographic scheme (E91) [1] pairs of EPR particles were used to generate identical sequences of bits in remote places, while Bell’s theorem certified that the particles were not measured in transit by an eavesdropper. The modification of the Ekert scheme proposed by Bennett, Brassard and Mermin (BBM92) [2] did not use the Bell theorem and was based essentially on the fact that t...
